Yalta-Nizhny Bestia Border Shutdown Scheduled for April 15
In Yakutia, the ice road crossing the Lena River on the Yakutsk-Lower Bestakh section will close on April 15, as announced by Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Management Semen Korokin during a live broadcast on "Yakutia 24."
Korokin also confirmed that the Hatassy-Pavlovsk and Kangalassy-Sottinzy crossings will be closed on the same day, while all crossings on the Aldan and Vilyuy rivers will cease operation.
The ice roads' closure is likely due to the rising temperatures in the spring, a common occurrence for such regions, as the safety of the ice is compromised. For precise dates and other updates about local transports, it is recommended to consult local government or weather services.
