Yakutia Completes Support Town Program, Moves to Digital Transformation

Yakutia's leader, Aisen Nikolaev, has wrapped up a long-term program benefiting 43 support towns across the republic. The initiative, a comprehensive 'spatial framework', aims to equalize living standards and opportunities. The next phase involves creating a 'digital twin' of the program with IT company Softline, marking a shift towards real-time tracking and scenario modelling.

The program's ultimate goal is to balance development across Yakutia, preventing opposition between 'successful' and 'unsuccessful' regions. It seeks to retain residents in currently 'non-prospective' territories, reducing population outflow from small settlements. By adopting a digital model, officials can assess potential risks and positive effects of implemented measures. Long-term plans include creating individual social and economic development programs for each support point, tailored to the general strategy.

With the completion of the support town program, Yakutia now focuses on digital transformation. The 'digital twin' will enable real-time progress tracking and scenario modelling, ensuring balanced development and equal opportunities for all residents. Softline, the IT company behind this innovation, will play a crucial role in shaping Yakutia's future.
