In the heart of Sverdlovskaya Oblast, new supportive measures have been set in motion for young, expectant mothers. Denis Pasler, the acting governor, has given the green light to these initiatives.

For girls who manage to give birth to their initial bundle of joy before turning 24, they stand a chance to score:

  • Up to 500,000 rubles - to settle loan interest on a housing purchase (including a mortgage): a passport, credit agreement, and documents proving the paid interest amounts are required.
  • 50,000 rubles - for purchasing essential baby items: it's crucial to submit applications within six months after delivery.
  • Up to 15,000 rubles a month - as housing expense compensation during education: along with a passport, a leasing agreement for a living space, and documents verifying rental expenses are necessary.

To secure these payouts, an application must be submitted to the social policy management office at your place of residence. Only a passport is required. For a list of these offices and their addresses and contact information, check out the official website of the Ministry of Social Policy of Sverdlovskaya Oblast.

The initiative for these supporting measures was originally proposed by former governor, Eugene Kuyvashov. Back in March of this year, the project received backing from the Sverdlovskaya Oblast Legislative Assembly.

Starting September, Russian maternity benefits for students will see a tenfold increase. The average benefit a pregnant student would receive during a 140-day maternity leave will be 90,000 rubles. The benefit amount will be calculated based on the regional living wage of employable residents rather than the scholarship amount.

  1. Expectant mothers in the science field may find the news about women's health as they can now avail finance-related support, such as the payment of loan interests on a housing purchase, as part of the new measures.
  2. Furthermore, new parents can also benefit from the 50,000 rubles allocated for purchasing essential baby items, pushing forward health-and-wellness by ensuring proper care for infants.
  3. On a related note, parenting also extends to personal-finance education, with young mothers who qualify receiving up to 15,000 rubles a month as housing expense compensation during their education, promoting financial stability for themselves and their families.
