Wilms assumes the role of President in the European Federation of Waste Management Industry (FEAD)
Herwart Wilms, a well-respected figure in the waste management and environmental services sector, has been elected as the new President of the European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services (FEAD). This marks a significant milestone for the federation, as Wilms is the first waste management professional to hold the position since 2012.
Wilms' election was a unanimous decision by the federation, and he will officially begin his term on January 1, 2026. His term will last for a duration of two years, ending in the year 2028.

He is currently the CEO of REMONDIS Sustainable Services and the Vice-President of the BDE. In his previous role as FEAD’s Vice-President, he worked closely with the former FEAD President, Claudia Mensi, for three years.
