Vinyl and visions marked the debut of Virunum's first record.
In the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District, indie band Virunum continues to make waves with their unique blend of pop, indie, and honest lyrics. The band, consisting of Singer Niclas Herrmann, Guitarist Justus Roeder, Pianist Benedikt Ramme, and Drummer Laurentius Ramme, has built a steadily growing fan base that extends beyond their local region.
Recently, Virunum launched a successful crowdfunding campaign on Startnext, surpassing their 8,500 Euro goal by an impressive 111 percent. According to Laurentius Ramme, the success of the campaign took off in the last 24 hours, with the support of their dedicated fans.
The collected funds will be used to finance studio recordings in Dresden and the "Studio 2" in Schwerin, as well as a marketing budget to help propel the band into the spotlight. This marketing budget is crucial for indie bands, as Laurentius Ramme emphasised in a recent comment.
As a result of the successful crowdfunding campaign, Virunum will be able to order the production of their first album, titled "Together Not Alone". Two music videos will also be produced with the collected funds. The songs from the EP of the album are already available on all major streaming and video platforms.
The band recently held a record release party in Waren, held at the "little forest stage" on the edge of the Müritz National Park. Fan merchandise, including stickers, socks, and t-shirts, is also available for purchase.
Virunum's first album, "Together Not Alone", is set to be released on vinyl by autumn. The band members expressed their gratitude for the support received during the crowdfunding campaign and look forward to sharing their music with the world.
