Vallourec Joins Dii Desert Energy & MENA Hydrogen Alliance to Accelerate Energy Transition
Vallourec, a global leader in premium tubular solutions, has recently joined two significant initiatives aimed at accelerating the energy transition in the Middle East and Africa. The company has become a member of both the Dii Desert Energy Initiative and the MENA Hydrogen Alliance, demonstrating its commitment to reducing emissions and promoting low-carbon energy solutions.
The Dii Desert Energy Initiative brings together public and private players to support the development of renewable energy projects in the desert regions of the Middle East and North Africa. Vallourec's involvement reflects its dedication to contributing to this crucial energy transition.
In addition, Vallourec has also joined the MENA Hydrogen Alliance, a collaborative network focused on developing the hydrogen value chain. This alliance aims to foster cooperation among industrial players to create a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem. Nicolas Blaise, the head of the Delphy project at Vallourec, which focuses on green hydrogen solutions, will be instrumental in this effort.
Recently, as part of the Dii Partner Meeting, Vallourec hosted 27 members for a visit to its cutting-edge R&D facilities. The event provided an opportunity for the members to witness firsthand Vallourec's innovative Delphy hydrogen storage solution demonstrator.
By joining these initiatives, Vallourec seeks to strengthen its industrial and commercial performance in the growing New Energies sector. The company's membership in both the Dii Desert Energy Initiative and the MENA Hydrogen Alliance underscores its commitment to driving the energy transition forward and contributing to a more sustainable future.
