Cengage Group Announces ERP System Upgrades Starting Early April

In a move aimed at enhancing customer experience, educational resource provider Cengage Group will roll out changes to its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in early April 2025. Details of the improvements and their impact are as follows.

Online Ordering Temporarily UnavailableFrom 5:00 PM ET on March 28, 2025, to 8:00 AM ET on April 7, 2025, My Account and the Thorndike Press eCommerce experience will be out of action for order fulfillment. This interruption in online ordering is part of the ERP system upgrades.

New Master Customer NumberA new master customer number will be assigned to all subscription customers and reflected in their statements starting from April 2025. This number can be used across all Cengage Group businesses. The Customer Experience team can help locate your new account number and facilitate orders using your existing account number.

Invoice ChangesBeginning in April, invoices will provide a detailed breakdown, including the individual price and discounts leading to the final price for customers.

  • Mailed Invoices: Invoices will no longer be enclosed in shipments. Instead, they will be mailed to your bill-to address via USPS. You can also choose to receive emailed invoices or access and print your invoices via myaccount.gale.com.
