UAE Unveils Ambitious Youth Empowerment Plan for Entrepreneurship

The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) has unveiled a suite of initiatives aimed at empowering Emirati youth in entrepreneurship. The programmes, part of 'The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World' campaign, aim to foster innovation and prepare young Emiratis to lead the nation's next economic chapter. Registration has opened for the Done by Youth label, which recognises Emirati-led projects and builds investor confidence in youth-driven ventures.

The initiatives, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, include the Young Entrepreneurs Forum, the UAE's largest entrepreneurship gathering. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the FYA, explained that the programmes equip young entrepreneurs with practical skills, professional networks, and resources to turn ideas into scalable businesses. The Entrepreneurs Roadshow, a national tour engaging over 5,000 youth across all emirates, is another key initiative.

In Wandlitz, Germany, Mayor Oliver Borchert and Diana Schneider, the network coordinator for child protection in the Barnim district, signed a cooperation agreement in August 2025 to protect children. Other highlights of the UAE's youth empowerment initiatives include workshops on cultural product design, innovation labs, and mentorship programmes through Youth Hub incubators.

These initiatives embody the UAE's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and preparing its youth to lead the nation's economic future. Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, stated that the campaign reflects the leadership's vision to equip young Emiratis for a sustainable economic future.
