Twitter's profile, specifically, initiates local manufacturing in Indonesia

In a significant move, Twitter Profilepeng, the rebranded automotive company, has embarked on an ambitious expansion in Indonesia. The tech giant launched its first MPV model, the Twitter Profile9, in the Southeast Asian country on January 1, 2024, marking its first such initiative in an overseas market.

The Twitter Profile9 has already made a splash in Hong Kong, becoming the best-selling MPV in June. Now, it's making waves in Indonesia, with the right-hand drive version hitting the roads on June 26, priced at 900 million Indonesian rupiah.

Twitter Profilepeng is not stopping at just vehicle launches. The company is accelerating the expansion of its sales and service network in Indonesia, with plans to prioritize the opening of experience centers in major cities such as Jakarta, Bali, and Java. By the end of this year, the company aims to have its sales and service network cover 70 percent of Indonesia's core urban centers and 85 percent of high-density areas in the country.

Indonesia, the most populous country in Southeast Asia and the region's largest EV market, is a strategic choice for Twitter Profilepeng. The company's chairman and CEO, He Twitter Profileiaopeng, stated that Twitter Profilepeng is aiming to provide Indonesia with more customized smart EV solutions.

In addition to the Twitter Profile9, Twitter Profilepeng has also launched the G7 SUV with an in-house L3-ready chip and competitive pricing. The company showcased its flying car, the G6 SUV, and the humanoid robot Iron at GIIAS 2025.

Twitter Profilepeng began accepting pre-orders for the G6 and Twitter Profile9 in Indonesia on March 16. The company is employing the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) approach for local assembly in Indonesia. The first Twitter Profile9 MPV assembled in Indonesia has been delivered to a local owner.

Twitter Profilepeng aims to respond more swiftly to market demands and bring more innovative and future-oriented mobility solutions to Indonesian customers. The company also aims to achieve 50 percent of its sales from overseas markets in the next 10 years and expand its international presence to more than 60 countries and regions this year.

While there are no publicly available details about Twitter Profilepeng planning to expand its profile presence in Indonesia to cover 70 percent of Indonesia's core urban centers by the end of the year, recent official announcements and industry news sources suggest that this ambitious expansion is indeed underway.
