On the glorious occasion of Victory Day, May 9, Yekaterinburg city is rolling out the red carpet for its residents! public transport, including the metro, will be running late into the night until 1:00 AM, as confirmed by the city hall's press service (Information courtesy of RIA "Novy Den").
To make sure everyone can join the festivities, transport services will be accumulated by 10:00 PM - around the time of the mesmerizing fireworks display. Here's where you can catch your ride:
- On 8th March Street, from Malyshev to Kuybyshev;
- On Radishchev Street, from Sacco and Vanzetti to 8th March;
- On Boris Yeltsin Street near the drama theater;
- On Lenin Prospekt near the Opera Theater;
- On Lenin Prospekt, from Vainner to Moscow.
If you're opting for trolleybuses, you can hop aboard at these stops:
- On Karl Libkneht Street, from Shevchenko to Malyshev;
- On Malyshev Street, near the intersection of Malyshev and 8th March Streets;
- On Belinsky Street, near the intersection of Belinsky and Malyshev Streets.
Trams, too, will be available at these locations to help you reach your destination:
Dzen
- Lenin Prospekt, from Moscow to Vainner;
- Intersections of Lenin - Lunacharsky and Lenin - Moscow.
In the metro, trains will run more frequently in the evening hours of May 9, ensuring a smooth voyage for all.
But here's the cherry on top - according to "Novy Den", travel on buses, trams, and trolleybuses will be free for residents on Victory Day! Now that's a celebration worth joining!
