Trade hub and manufacturing facility established in Almaty city
In the heart of Almaty, Kazakhstan, a new trade and production center named "Keren" has opened its doors to the public. Located at 32, Jetisu-4 microdistrict, the center spans over 7264 sq.m and offers a variety of products from both local and international producers.
The "Keren" trade and production center is the third project in the area under the "Business Roadmap" for Yerlan Sultanov, its director. This initiative is part of a larger effort to stimulate economic growth and create jobs in the city.
As a result of this project, 435 jobs have been created, with 36,900 permanent jobs created across various projects since the beginning of the year. The center is also part of a broader effort, with 47,800 jobs having been created through state programs, including 3,540 under the "Business Roadmap 2025" program.
The trade center will focus on distributing locally produced goods, such as farm and agricultural products, fruits, and vegetables. Products from direct producers will be displayed on the trade center's shelves, providing a platform for local businesses to showcase their offerings. In addition to these, European products will also be available.
The center offers a range of products, including baked goods, grocery items, fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish. To ensure the quality and safety of the products, a contract has been signed with a special laboratory for GMO testing and certificate checks.
The investment in the construction of the trade and production center was 1.5 billion tenge, with 700 million tenge coming from the state program "Business Roadmap-2025". Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, business support measures are actively implemented in the city to facilitate the growth of such initiatives.
All rental spaces in the trade center are currently occupied, and comfortable trading conditions have been created. The trade and production center plans to fully launch this week. With 234 trading spots, the "Keren" trade and production center is set to become a significant player in Almaty's retail landscape.
For more detailed information on GMO testing and certification specific to the Keren trade and production center, it is recommended to contact the management directly, consult Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture or relevant food safety authorities, or review official national regulations regarding GMO product testing and certification.
