Dunja Franke and Katja Fuhrmann have always professed their affection for their shop "gluXgefühl" on Heinrich-Heine-Straße. However, as Franke admitted on Instagram, "sometimes love isn't enough." The shop - a hub of teas, essential oils, smoothies, and workshops - has closed its doors permanently, effective May 28.

The entrepreneurs confessed to the "Ostthüringer Zeitung" that their decision to close was driven by economic necessity. Gera, they noted, is a particularly competitive market. Despite attempts at markets, fluctuations in their sales left them no choice but to call it quits.

The concept store may be no more, but the workshops and entrepreneurial spirit will live on! Before the store officially closes, the duo will host their last workshop on June 26.

With the closure, Dunja Franke and Katja Fuhrmann step into a new role as commercial freelancers. Fuhrmann plans to set up shop in Triptis, while Franke is set to open "Dein Raum" in Kantstraße, Gera, in July -- details provided by the "Ostthüringer Zeitung."
