Tesla unveils the non-Foundation Edition Cybertruck in Canada, raises Foundation Series Cybertruck price

In a recent development, Tesla has announced updates regarding the pricing and availability of its highly anticipated Cybertruck in Canada.

The Canadian dollar has experienced a significant drop in recent months, causing the US/CAD exchange rate to rise. Today, the exchange rate stands at around $1.45, compared to $1.35 when the Cybertruck was first launched in Canada. This exchange rate adjustment has had an impact on the Cybertruck's pricing in Canada.

Tesla has taken responsibility for the price increase of non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks in Canada. The company is known for making price changes without prior notice. No other individual or institution has been identified as responsible for this price change.

The regular Cybertruck comes with Core Wheels and Covers, which are smaller than the wheel covers included in the Foundation Series. In contrast, the Foundation Series, originally offering additional accessories and features such as Powershare, Gear Locker Dividers, and lifetime Premium Connectivity and Full Self-Driving (FSD), has seen a price increase in Canada. The AWD model is now priced at $153,990, and the Cyberbeast model at $181,990, representing an approximate increase of 11.5% for the AWD model and 9.6% for the Cyberbeast model.

On a positive note, Tesla has added the Cybertruck to its referral program in Canada. Buyers who use a referral link when purchasing a Cybertruck will receive a $1,300 discount. Moreover, the first deliveries for the non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks are expected to begin this month.

Tesla's referral program is part of their broader strategy to encourage word-of-mouth marketing and incentivize new orders through existing owners. It's worth noting that Tesla previously increased prices on all of their other vehicles in Canada.

In addition, Tesla now charges extra for the 20′′ Cyber Wheels ($5,000) and FSD ($11,000), which were previously included in the price. These prices are roughly equivalent to the pricing in the US when considering the exchange rate.

The base price of the non-Foundation Series Cybertruck remains unchanged. The non-Foundation Series AWD Cybertruck is priced at $114,990, and the Cyberbeast variant is priced at $142,990.

As a gesture for Foundation Series buyers, Tesla offers a free vehicle wrap through XPEL in both Canada and the US.

Tesla has started accepting orders for non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks in Canada. The regular Cybertruck content includes a referral link for new buyers to get three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD).

These updates provide a clearer picture of the pricing and availability of the Tesla stock Cybertruck in Canada. As always, potential buyers are encouraged to visit Tesla's official website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
