Surprise Inspection Nets 10 Bosnian Workers with Questionable Immigration Status in Kempten
A surprise inspection at a Kempten construction site by the Financial Control of Illegal Work (FKS) officials uncovered ten Bosnian-Herzegovinian nationals with questionable immigration status. The operation, led by the head of the Main Customs Office Augsburg, Hans-Henning Kühne, resulted in the confiscation of residence permits and passports.
On Tuesday, FKS officials conducted a random inspection at the construction site. They discovered that some of the ten Bosnian-Herzegovinian nationals present did not have valid or had expired Slovenian residence permits. Furthermore, these permits did not authorize them to work in an occupational activity.
The residence permits and passports were seized and handed over to the Kempten immigration authority. Following the discovery, investigative proceedings were initiated, suspecting illegal residence among the individuals.
The FKS inspection in Kempten has raised concerns about potential illegal residence and work among Bosnian-Herzegovinian nationals. The investigation is ongoing, and the individuals involved are cooperating with the authorities.
