Sungrow Unveils PowerTitan 2.0: Advanced Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System
Sungrow, a leading Chinese company, has unveiled its latest liquid-cooled energy storage system, PowerTitan 2.0. This advanced system boasts a range of innovative features designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and durability.
PowerTitan 2.0 is engineered with a compartmentalized design, providing dedicated fire protection and multiple suppression systems to prevent battery fires. Additionally, its liquid-cooled thermal management significantly reduces energy consumption to just 50kWh per day, a 40% decrease from industry averages.
The system's operation and maintenance (O&M) process is streamlined, featuring automatic state of charge (SoC) calibration and over-the-air (OTA) technology. This ensures minimal human intervention and maximizes efficiency. PowerTitan 2.0 also achieves an impressive round-trip efficiency of 89.5%, thanks to its Cell to Grid technology (C2G) that simplifies DC to AC power conversion.
Safety is a top priority for PowerTitan 2.0. It includes real-time cell monitoring and four layers of electrical hazard protection. Furthermore, the system is equipped with a 314Ah animal cell capacity, a string Power Conversion System (PCS), Stem Cell Grid Tech, and liquid-cooled temperature control for optimal performance.
The system's compact design allows a 20-ft container to house up to 5MWh of batteries and 2.5MW of PCS, significantly enhancing power density. Moreover, PowerTitan 2.0 is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an impressive C5 anti-corrosion rating and IP55 protection.
Sungrow's PowerTitan 2.0 is set to make a significant impact in the energy storage sector. With its focus on safety, efficiency, and durability, the system supports grid stability, improves power quality, and optimizes lifecycle operating cost (LCOS). This innovative product is poised to contribute to a more reliable and sustainable energy future.
