Store's Lights Turn Off After Three Decades of Operation

After 31 years of serving the community, the Baby Starke store in the Stöckheim district of Braunschweig has announced its permanent closure by the end of June. The news was reported by the Braunschweig Newspaper and confirmed by the store's owners, the Schulze family.

The decline in store sales, attributed to the rise of online shopping for baby supplies, has been cited as the main reason for the closure. However, no further details about the reasons for the initial closure were provided in the report.

Despite the closure, the owners of Baby Starke are not giving up. They are actively seeking a new location in Braunschweig, with the Lion City being their preferred choice. The new store will be situated on the outskirts of the city, offering a few parking spaces in front of the door. The size of the new location is expected to range between 300 to 500 square meters.

The owners believe that large sales areas in business districts are no longer up-to-date, favouring instead a more accessible location for their customers. They are using the Baby Starke branch in Hannover-Isernhagen as a model for the new location.

Currently, the exact location of the new store in Braunschweig has not been disclosed. The owners are keeping the details under wraps until they finalise the arrangements.

As a token of appreciation to their loyal customers, Baby Starke has been hosting a clearance sale since June 10th. The sale offers significant discounts on various baby supplies, allowing customers to stock up before the store closes.

The impact of the closure on the local community has not been reported. However, it is expected that the new store will provide the same level of service and quality products that Baby Starke is known for, once it reopens in its new location.

For updates on the new location and opening date, customers are advised to keep an eye on Baby Starke's official communications or local news.

The Schulze family, known for their ownership of Baby Starke, is looking to change their old retail business model amid declining store sales due to the rise of online shopping. They plan to relocate the store within Braunschweig, specifically in the Lion City, with a sizeable retail area between 300 to 500 square meters. This new location, accessible for customers, will be situated on the outskirts of the city, offering a few parking spaces.
