Snowworld Bispingen Unveils Green Future with Modern Redesign

Bispingen's Snowworld has unveiled its new look and ambitious plans for a greener future. The Dutch company, now majority owner with Sölden cable cars, has reopened the ski hall after a facelift and a change of name to Snowworld Bispingen.

The grand reopening was attended by Bispingen's deputy mayor and the managing directors of both Snowworld and Sölden cable cars. The Dutch company has held talks with the previous owners for nearly two years, leading to this significant transformation.

The ski hall, formerly known as Hofbräuhaus, has been redesigned with a modern touch. The old facade has been demolished, making way for a fresh new look. Meanwhile, the snowmaking system has been renewed to ensure better snow quality, with a 'Snowmaster' now overseeing snow production.

Looking ahead, Snowworld aims to make the entire group, including Bispingen's ski hall, climate-neutral by 2030. The company has already secured 80% of its energy needs from wind and sun in its Dutch halls. To achieve this, they plan to ecologize the winter sports building in Bispingen and operate it climate-neutrally.

In addition, Snowworld and Sölden cable cars have agreed to strengthen cooperation in their other ski halls across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

With a new name, a modern design, and a commitment to sustainability, Snowworld Bispingen looks set to offer an improved skiing experience while minimizing its environmental impact. The company's plans for the future, including potential synergies with Sölden cable cars, are expected to further enhance the ski hall's offerings.
