It is a closed room in which there are three sofas are present in centre of the room and one table in front of the sofa and at the left corner of the picture there is a tv behind that there is a wall with photos on it and at the left corner one plant is present, behind that there is one big window with white curtains and at the right corner another plant is present and there is a fan and light hanged from the ceiling.

Sacher Cafe in Graz Closes After 22 Years; New Ventures Emerge

After 22 years of operation, the Sacher cafe in Graz's Herrengasse has announced its closure. The decision, made by CEO Matthias Winkler, follows an extensive exploration of options to improve profitability, all of which proved unviable.

The closure of the iconic cafe has left a vacant space in the heart of Graz's old town. Meanwhile, in nearby Landhausgasse, several parties are showing interest in the empty premises left by Mac Shirty. Elsewhere, the tapas bar Cielo has opened at Kaiser-Josef-Platz, offering classic Spanish specialties.

In a new development, a 'Spa in the City' has opened in Sporgasse, providing relaxation and wellness experiences for locals and visitors alike. Back in Herrengasse, former Sacher employees Bujar Shabani, Patrick Wallner, and Mirsad have taken over the premises, reopening it as Cafe Herzog on August 4, 2025.

The closure of the Sacher cafe marks the end of an era in Graz's culinary scene. While no successor has been confirmed for the prime location, interest is high, and new ventures like Cafe Herzog and the Spa in the City are breathing fresh life into the area.
