Rural Area Advocacy
The Local Action Group (LAG) Landkreis Landshut e.V. held its annual general meeting on August 5, 2025, where key decisions were made and progress was reported on various projects and activities.
At the meeting, Peter Dreier, the first chairman, and Karoline Bartha, the LAG manager, presented an overview of the association's activities and projects for the funding periods 2014-2022 and 2023-2027. The cash auditors Christine Attenkofer and Gerhard Babl confirmed proper cash management.
The LAG management participated in meetings of the Lower Bavarian LAG managers, as well as representing the Lower Bavarian Local Action Groups in the LEADER Accompaniment Circle Bavaria and in meetings of the two ILE alliances (Integrated Rural Development) located in the LAG area.
Another cooperative project was approved by the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forestry Ingolstadt-Pfaffenhofen. The project, called 'Heart of the Community 2025,' aims to support citizen participation.
The calls for project descriptions and applications for the 'Supporting Citizen Engagement' project (so-called LEADER small projects) are published on the LAG homepage. Ideas for small projects can be submitted until 20.10.2025, and project descriptions for regular LEADER projects until 24.10.2025.
Six project carriers are currently still waiting for their grant decisions from Regen. Of the initially available budget of 1.961 million euros for the funding period 2023-2027, approximately 239,000 euros are still available for the funding of new projects.
The LAG decision-making body will decide on the submitted project proposals at its next meeting on 12.11.2025. Three meetings of the LAG decision-making body were held, during which seven projects were selected. Intensive public relations work was carried out, and a group photo was taken with project carriers whose projects were approved in the last few months.
Treasurer Armin Reiseck informed about the income and expenditure of the association in the calendar year 2024, and the association currently has reserves of around 270 euros.
Furthermore, two meetings of the LAG working group 'Three Valleys - 7000 years' were held in Landshut and Holzhausen. Project inspections were conducted in Ergoldsbach.

The Local Development Strategy 2023-2027 is being successfully implemented, with 18 projects selected since September 2023. The general meeting then unanimously voted to discharge the board, decision-making body, and management.
The LAG Landkreis Landshut e.V. continues to make significant strides in rural development, with a strong focus on citizen engagement and sustainable projects.
