Revision cycle successfully closed by TAL, according to Lenting's announcement
The oil industry giant, Deutsche Transalpine Oelleitung GmbH (TAL), has resumed operation of the last oil tank at its Lenting site on August 13, 2025. This marks the completion of the current maintenance cycle for all seven tanks at the site.
Tank 6, with a diameter of 58.5 meters and a height of 18 meters, underwent a comprehensive maintenance process that included emptying, cleaning, and internal inspection. Specialists and geologists from TÜV conducted the inspection and reinforced Tank 6 for the next 15 years.
The maintenance work on Tank 6 also involved the installation of a tertiary seal, reducing steam emissions by 99.8 percent. Large cranes and suction vehicles were used during the final stages of maintenance work.
