Revised regulations for internet protocols in Belarus

From August 18, 2025, individual entrepreneurs in Belarus will face new rules for calculating insurance contributions to the Fund for Social Security (FSSN). The changes will affect the calculation of payments, which will now depend on the actual income of the business.

The minimum wage in 2025 is set at Br8712 per month. For an income of Br5500, the contributions will amount to Br1925. However, it's important to note that the contributions will still depend on the actual income of the business.

If an entrepreneur's annual income does not exceed 12 minimum wages (MW), they will pay 35% of their actual income. On the other hand, for those whose income exceeds 12 MW, the contributions will be calculated based on Br3049.2, regardless of the actual business profit.

Special conditions apply for entrepreneurs who close their business or are eligible for exemptions. For entrepreneurs who closed their business before August 18, they will need to submit form PU-3 to the FSSN, indicating the periods of activity. The payments for those who closed their business before August 18 will be calculated proportionally to the period of activity.

For entrepreneurs who started the business closure process after August 18 or had exempt periods, the contributions will be calculated proportionally, without considering those periods. The calculation of contributions will be based on the actual income, but not exceeding the minimum wage per month and days included in the calculation.

It's worth mentioning that the calculation of contributions will not take into account any periods of childcare or education. As of now, there are no relevant search results regarding the new rules for calculating insurance contributions to the FSSN for individual entrepreneurs in Belarus effective from August 18, 2025. To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is recommended to consult official Belarusian government sources such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus or official legal publications released near or after August 18, 2025.

The new business regulations in Belarus, effective from August 18, 2025, stipulate that the contributions to the Fund for Social Security (FSSN) will depend on the actual income of the business, as highlighted in the changes to the calculation of payments. Moreover, the contributions for individual entrepreneurs will be a significant portion of their income, as those whose income does not exceed 12 minimum wages will pay 35%, while those earning more will pay a fixed amount based on an income of Br3049.2.
