Restaurant Owner Fined €9,000 for Aiding Illegal Worker Residence

A restaurant owner in the Aschaffenburg area has been fined €9,000 for aiding and abetting the illegal residence of three workers. The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt's Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS) conducted the inspections and initiated the proceedings. The investigation process by the FKS can take several months or even years.

The FKS investigates criminal offenses and administrative offenses related to black work and illegal employment. In this case, the restaurant owner employed three Georgian workers without necessary residence permits for employment. The workers entered the country using forged Slovak passports. The FKS discovered this during their inspections and initiated proceedings against the owner.
