Upcoming Changes in Electricity Rates in Krasnoyarsk Krai:

Grab your wallets, folks! Prepare for a hike in electricity costs starting from July, a heads-up that was given last year already.

According to a decree by the Krasnoyarsk Krai Ministry of Tariff Policy from December 9, 2024, the price of electricity will be adjusted.

Here's the lowdown on the new rates:

For those with stationary electric cars and heating systems, or living in rural areas, the new prices will be as follows:

  • Within the social norm: 2.84 rubles/kWh
  • Above the social norm: 4.58 rubles/kWh

Currently, each kWh costs 2.47 rubles within the norm and 3.98 rubles above the norm.

City-dwellers living in homes without electric cars or heating systems should brace for this tariff:

  • Within the social norm: 4.06 rubles/kWh
  • Above the social norm: 6.54 rubles/kWh

Let's refresh our memories - in the region, the social norm equates to 110 kWh per registered resident, and 75 kWh for more registered residents.

All in all, you'll see a significant jump of roughly 15% in your utility bills, but note this increase applies to all communal and housing services.

Just a heads-up, to settle your June electricity bills according to the old rates, you'll need to submit your meter readings by June 25.

Back in the day, authorities promised these funds from increased tariffs would improve the quality of services, develop the housing and utilities sector, and boost the efficiency of resource-supplying companies.

So, start saving up and get ready to pay those higher bills!

In light of the upcoming adjustments in electricity rates, the finance industry and energy sector may experience shifts due to increased household expenditures, with utility bills seeing a significant jump of approximately 15%. Notably, the news of these changes comes after a decree by the Krasnoyarsk Krai Ministry of Tariff Policy on December 9, 2024.
