The audits are risk-oriented, involving spot checks and full audits of all employees of an employer. The Customs Administration increases personnel for these audits to maintain their preventive character. These audits are aimed at maintaining a high number of audits in certain industries to reduce societal acceptance of undeclared work and illegal employment.
The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt Press Office encourages businesses to comply with all legal requirements to ensure a fair and competitive environment for all participants in the industry. The customs audits serve as a reminder that non-compliance will not be tolerated and that appropriate action will be taken against any violations found.
