Regensburg Disco Fined €6,000 for Delayed Social Security Registrations

A disco in Regensburg has been fined €6,000 for social security administration violations. The Financial Control Black Work (FKS) discovered that the club's employees were only registered for social security in January 2023, despite working there since November 2022.

The FKS Regensburg inspected the disco following an anonymous tip. They found that social security contributions totalling €8,546 had not been paid due to the delay in registration. The disco's employees confirmed they had been working at the club before the official registrations.

Gerhard Pylipp, head of the Financial Control Black Work, warned that such 'black work' will eventually be exposed. He advised employers to be aware of the consequences, which include substantial fines. The disco's former owner was fined 100 daily rates of €60 each, totalling €6,000. In addition to the fine, the convicted person must also pay the outstanding social security contributions.

The disco had been open for business much earlier than the official registration date. The case serves as a reminder to employers of the importance of proper employee registration and timely payment of social security contributions.
