Volkswagen Unveils Facelifted Taigun SUV in India

Germany's renowned automaker, Volkswagen, has announced the launch of the facelifted version of its popular SUV, the Taigun, in the Indian market. The updated model will continue to offer a choice between two turbo-petrol engine options, with no new engine choices introduced.

The Taigun facelift will continue to offer the 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI and 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engines. The smaller 1.0-litre TSI engine delivers 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, while the larger 1.5-litre TSI engine offers 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission, depending on the variant chosen.

In terms of design, the Taigun facelift aligns with Volkswagen's global design language. The SUV's front and rear fascias have been updated, resembling the Tiguan R-Line. The two-piece upper grille of the Taigun has been slimmed down into a single-piece unit, and the LED headlamps now feature a sleeker design.

The interior of the Taigun facelift boasts several upgrades. The cabin is equipped with ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, and a digital 8-inch driver's display. Higher variants will feature a six-speaker system that includes a subwoofer and amplifier. The SUV's feature list also includes a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Minor feature add-ons and new trim options are expected in the facelifted Taigun's cabin. However, the SUV will continue to offer the same comfort and convenience features as the previous model.

Volkswagen has ensured that the Taigun facelift's engine options continue to offer similar power outputs as the previous model, maintaining the SUV's performance standards. The automaker also confirmed that the Taigun facelift will continue to offer both manual and automatic transmission options for its engine choices.

The Volkswagen Taigun facelift is set to continue its success in the Indian market, offering a blend of style, performance, and comfort in a compact SUV package.
