Railway service interruption extended: BSVG deploys supplementary buses as alternative transportation
Rail Replacement Service Affects Bus Lines in Stöckheim, Germany
Starting from August 14, a rail replacement service (RVS) will be in effect due to the long-term closure of the Stadtbahn track in Stöckheim. This disruption will impact bus lines 421, 2, and 431, with adjustments made to schedules and routes to ensure passengers can maintain connections.
The stop "Senefelderstraße" will not be served on any line 421 trips. Passengers are asked to use line 431 instead when "Senefelderstraße" is not served. The stop Leisewitzstraße will also not be served on any line 421 trips.
A 3-minute transfer time and a connection guarantee for switching between bus and train are provided at Sachsendamm. The BSVG (Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH) has announced that the additional buses will provide an interchange option at "Sachsendamm" for every line 1 trip.
Departure times on bus line 421 between "Erfurtplatz" and Wolfenbüttel will shift by a few minutes in both directions due to the replacement service.
For citizens in Stöckheim, travel to the city center or back to Stöckheim can still be done with the same frequency as before, but with a transfer at the Sachsendamm stop. Further travel options from Sachsendamm towards the city center/main station or Stöckheim are available via lines 2 and 431.
The timetable data for the rail replacement service is already available in electronic timetable information. To use the timetable data valid from the start of school, select a date from August 14, 2025, onwards.
It is recommended to consult the local transport provider's official website or customer service (such as the Braunschweig transport operator) for precise details on the RVS impact and connection guarantee at Sachsendamm.
