Quang Ninh creates a new industrial zone
Quang Ninh Province, a coastal region in Vietnam, has announced the establishment of three new industrial clusters - Quang Duc, Yen Tho, and Quang Thanh - as part of its strategic plan to modernize its industrial landscape and foster sustainable economic growth.
These industrial clusters, spanning over 630 hectares in total, will concentrate manufacturing, processing, and service industries in dedicated zones, encouraging organized industrial activity and attracting both domestic and foreign investment.
Each cluster will feature comprehensive infrastructure, including transportation, electricity, water supply, and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting long-term business sustainability. The Quang Duc Industrial Cluster, located in Quang Duc Commune, will cover nearly 70 hectares and will be developed by the Green Park Industrial Cluster Investment Joint Stock Company.
The new industrial clusters are designed to address urban planning concerns by relocating polluting or improperly zoned handicraft production facilities from residential areas. This move is anticipated to improve environmental protection and fire safety standards, reducing the risk of accidents and pollution for local residents.
The development is expected to generate employment opportunities for local communities, providing both direct and indirect benefits to the regional workforce. By expanding production space and attracting investment, the clusters are expected to stimulate economic growth and diversify the province’s industrial base.
With the addition of these new clusters, Quang Ninh now has 13 industrial clusters in total, indicating a significant expansion of industrial land use. This strategic move by Quang Ninh Province is a testament to its commitment to modernizing its industrial sector while prioritizing environmental protection and sustainable development.
