Proposal called for to safeguard workers from radiation exposure risks through Commission-drafted directive on ionizing radiation safety.

In the city of Wiesbaden, significant changes are taking place in the public transportation system. A series of bus lines, including 3, 6, 16, 22, 27, 28, 33, 37, 45, and 49, are currently being rerouted due to disruptions at Gustav-Stresemann-Ring.

The disruptions began on August 8, 2025, following a water pipe burst at Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. This event has caused interruptions on the affected bus lines, leading to the implementation of detours around this area.

ESWE Verkehr, the local transit operator, has responded by introducing a new and improved detour plan for Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, effective from August 18, 2025, particularly for the school season.

It is important to note that these lines are not affected by other street closures such as Rheingaustraße or Patrickstraße, which impact other lines like 9, 14, 23, and 24.

The exact detour routes can be found on the ESWE Verkehr website or through traffic news updates. For precise stops and timing changes, it is recommended to consult ESWE Verkehr’s official communication.

Here are some specific changes to the affected bus lines:

  • Line 27 (destination: Leisure Pool) will reroute via Main Station A, Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Weidenbornstraße, Hasengartenstraße, and return to regular route.
  • Line 22 will end at Brunhildenstraße stop, with no further service to Vocational School Center.
  • Lines 3, 6, 33, and 49 will be directed towards Biebrich, Mainz, Kostheim, and Bierstadt.
  • Lines 16, 28, 37, and 45 (Direction: South Cemetery, Mainz, Nordenstadt, Raiffeisenplatz) will reroute from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße, Weidenbornstraße, Brunhildenstraße, and Gustav-Streemann-Ring to regular route.
  • Line 27 (destination: Vocational School Center) will end at Brunhildenstraße stop.
  • Lines 22 and 27 (Direction: Oberjosbach / HSK / August-Bebel-Straße) will start at "Brunhildenstraße" stop, continue via Siegfriedring and Hasengartenstraße to temporary stop in Weidenbornstraße, then Weidenbornstraße and Mainzer Straße to "Welfenstraße" stop, and return to regular route.
