PM-KISAN 20th Installment 2025: Possible Transfer of Rs 2,000 in July – Verify Date, Status, and Follow These Steps to Safeguard Your Payment!
The much-anticipated 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), a government scheme providing financial aid to eligible farmers, is set to be disbursed in early July 2025.
Since its launch in 2019, over 11 crore farmers have benefitted from the scheme, which offers Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The registered mobile number plays a crucial role in the PM-KISAN scheme, as it is used for receiving SMS alerts, OTP verification, payment status updates, and even raising or resolving grievances.
However, recent delays in the 20th installment are linked to an ongoing e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) and document verification drive being carried out across states. The government has made e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries, and if a farmer's e-KYC is incomplete, they may not receive the Rs 2,000 installment.
To ensure timely receipt of the 20th installment, farmers are advised to verify their e-KYC, bank details, and Aadhaar linkage. If a farmer's Aadhaar is not linked with their bank account, they will not receive the PM-KISAN payment. Farmers can update their mobile number by visiting pmkisan.gov.in, clicking on 'Update Mobile Number', entering their Aadhaar number or registration number, entering their new mobile number and verifying it via OTP.
An offline option is also available, where farmers can update their number by visiting the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or agriculture office. Farmers can also visit the nearest CSC or Seva Kendra to complete biometric e-KYC, especially if Aadhaar is not linked with their mobile number.
If a farmer's name does not appear in the beneficiary list, it may be due to pending e-KYC, incorrect land records, or unlinked Aadhaar. In such cases, farmers are advised to regularly check the official PM-KISAN portal and ensure that their documents and records are updated.
The most reliable and recent information indicates that the 20th installment will be disbursed around July 18, 2025. Farmers can check their installment status online by visiting the official PM-Kisan website and entering their Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number under the "Know Your Status" or "Beneficiary Status" section.
