Peine's €1.8M Road Renovation Project Begins October 2025
The city of Peine is embarking on a major road improvement project, with surface layer renovations planned across several areas. The 'Surface Layer Renovation 2025' measure, costing approximately €1,800,000, will see various roads closed for repairs, requiring motorists to take alternative routes.
The renovation works will commence on October 21, 2025, with the first phase focusing on Lessingstraße, from Herzbergweg to Schwarzer Weg, lasting until October 27. Due to the nature of the work, full closures are necessary, with extensive detours in place for motorists.
The Stahlwerkbrücke intersection area will also undergo surface layer renovations from October 22 to 27. Meanwhile, the Stederdorf bypass will see repairs from October 21 to November 3, with the K 20 passage remaining open during this period.
The planned road sections for surface renewal in 2025 include the renewal of the road surface in Altenbergstraße and the Klein-Altenstädten district, as well as the renewal of curbs and gutter systems along the federal road B277 in the core city of Asslar. Future surface layer renovations are planned for Vöhrumer Straße, Wiesenstraße, Nord-Südbrücke intersection area, and the ramp North side / Fuhsering from Trogstrecke with intersection Theodor-Heuss-Straße.
The city of Peine urges motorists to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra time for travel during the renovation periods. The 'Surface Layer Renovation 2025' measure aims to improve road safety and extend the lifespan of the city's road network.
