Ongoing success tale in the realm of regional management persists

The city and district of Landshut are celebrating the extension of their Regional Management projects, which have been a cornerstone of regional development for over a decade. The Bavarian Ministry of Economics has pledged a funding of 297,500 euros for the upcoming period, under the Funding Guidelines for Regional Development - Regional Management.

The Regional Management projects, initially established a decade ago, have been a model of success, as declared by District Administrator Peter Dreier. These projects aim to attract new companies and workers, as well as introduce young people to career opportunities in the region. They also focus on addressing the shortage of skilled workers, a critical issue for the region's economic growth.

The projects have been successful in promoting cooperation between the city and district of Landshut. In fact, the cooperation has been so fruitful that events like Entrepreneur nights are being implemented as part of these projects.

The Regional Management of the district and city of Landshut is operated by regional representatives, including Petra Högl and Josef Zellmeier, who cover various municipalities within the district. The Bavarian Ministry of Economics is supporting innovative projects in Landshut city and district, with around 60 regional initiatives in the field of Regional Management and Marketing throughout Bavaria currently receiving support.

In addition to boosting the economy, the Regional Management projects in Landshut are also making strides in social and integration support. For instance, in 2021, the Bavarian government funded projects focused on psychosocial care for psychologically stressed people and social-pedagogical services for refugees, although specific named projects for Landshut in 2021 were not detailed in the search results.

Dr. Thomas Haslinger, Second Mayor of Landshut, was present at the grant presentation for the Regional Management projects. He reiterated the city's commitment to implementing and expanding joint projects with the district. Mayor Dr. Thomas Haslinger also emphasised the importance of regional career orientation, which is being further developed through a matching app.

Lastly, the projects are not just about boosting the economy and providing social support; they are also about enhancing digital offerings for citizens and tourists. The digital offerings are being expanded as part of these projects, making Landshut a more connected and accessible city for all.
