Norway's Goodtech Wins NOK 45M Equinor Contract for Offshore Wind Farm Control Rooms
Norway's Goodtech has secured a significant contract with Equinor to provide a comprehensive SCADA and control room solution for the operation centres of Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms in Poland. The project, valued at approximately NOK 45 million (around EUR 3.9 million), is set to commence in November 2025 and conclude by the end of March 2027.
Goodtech will equip the control rooms with state-of-the-art technology, including operator workstations, large screen displays, KVM technology, and server room equipment. The company will also deliver a Central Control Room solution, featuring a common SCADA system, telecommunications equipment, and safe operation solutions. This marks a significant step in the development of Poland's offshore wind energy infrastructure.
The contract, awarded to Goodtech by Equinor, highlights the Norwegian company's expertise in providing advanced control room solutions. Despite the contract cost not being explicitly stated, industry sources estimate its value at around NOK 45 million.
The project is expected to begin in late 2025 and complete in early 2027, bringing advanced control room technology to the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms. Goodtech's involvement underscores the company's commitment to driving innovation in the offshore wind energy sector.
