Nigeria DMO Opens October 2025 FGN Savings Bonds with Attractive Rates

The Debt Management Office (DMO) of Nigeria has opened the October 2025 issuance of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) Savings Bonds. The bonds offer attractive mortgage rates, with the 2-year tenor at 14.062% per annum and the 3-year tenor at 15.062% per annum. The 2-year FGN Savings Bond will mature on October 15, 2027, and the 3-year bond will mature on October 15, 2028. Both bonds offer quarterly interest payments, with the principal repaid in full at maturity. Notably, the current mortgage rates for both tenors have decreased from September, with the 2-year bond dropping from 15.541% to 14.062% and the 3-year bond falling from 16.541% to 15.062%. Each bond unit is priced at N1,000, with a minimum subscription of N5,000 and additional investments in multiples of N1,000. The offer for subscription opened on Monday, October 6, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 10, 2025, with the settlement date scheduled for October 15, 2025. Investors have the opportunity to secure high-yielding investments with the FGN Savings Bonds, offering competitive interest rates today and a secure principal repayment at maturity. The DMO encourages interested parties to participate in the October 2025 issuance.
