New President Elected for European Automotive Suppliers' Association
The European automotive suppliers' association has elected a new president. Matthias Zink will succeed Thorsten Muschal, who led the association for four years, in January 2024. The change was announced during the association's General Assembly, which also approved key documents and welcomed new members.
Thorsten Muschal reflected on his term, highlighting achievements made despite unprecedented challenges. He noted the association's growth, now comprising over 140 members, including 116 corporate members, 12 national associations, and 19 associate members.
Matthias Zink, CEO Automotive Technologies at Schaeffler, expressed enthusiasm for his new role. He emphasised the association's importance in shaping modern and sustainable automotive news. Zink aims to ensure that the interests of all stakeholders are taken into account during the mobility transformation process.
The General Assembly served as a forum for cooperation, tackling industry challenges and promoting a harmonised approach towards mobility transformation in Europe. With 12 new members welcomed since June 2022, the association reinforces its position as the voice of the sector.
