Navigation proceedings persist through summer by Saheenergo

Diesel fuel transportation company JSC "Sakhaenergo" delivered a total of 48,506 tons of diesel fuel, with 13,551 tons going to isolated and difficult-to-reach locations in Yakutia, using the Lena, Aldan, and Yana rivers as the navigation routes.

In the far-eastern region of Russia, energy workers at JSC "Sakhaenergo" have commenced delivering fuel for the power needs of facilities situated along the Yana, Indigirka, and Kolyma rivers. This fuel delivery is part of a larger plan that includes the Arctic navigation and is intended for energy facilities in various districts and uluses of Yakutia.

To secure a reliable passage through the challenging autumn-winter period, JSC "Sakhaenergo" employs strategic planning and effective management of fuel logistics. During the summer navigation—when river transport routes are accessible—they stockpile sufficient quantities of fuel for the upcoming winter months. This pre-stocked fuel is stored at their generating facilities and key distribution points.

Summer navigation on rivers offers a cost-effective and efficient means to deliver large volumes of fuel to remote and difficult-to-access locations. By maximizing fuel deliveries during this window, JSC "Sakhaenergo" reduces reliance on more expensive or less reliable transport modes during winter.

The fuel supplied during summer navigation is carefully tested and monitored to ensure it meets quality standards essential for reliable power generation throughout the winter months. Furthermore, JSC "Sakhaenergo" coordinates logistics with weather and ice conditions to optimize the timing of fuel deliveries, avoiding last-minute rushes or shortages.

In addition to diesel fuel, JSC 'Sakhaenergo' plans to supply 21,183 tons of coal and 120 tons of crude oil during the current year's summer navigation. The fuel delivery includes energy facilities located on the Lena, Aldan, Yana, Indigirka, and Kolyma rivers.

According to Innokenty Sharin, head of the accounting and settlement department with suppliers, the delivery of fuel and energy resources during the summer navigation is carried out according to the approved plan of JSC 'Sakhaenergo'. So far, 13,551 tons of diesel fuel have been delivered to remote and hard-to-reach settlements in Yakutia via the Lena, Aldan, and Yana rivers.

JSC "Sakhaenergo", a subsidiary of PJSC "Yakutskenergo" and part of the RusHydro Group, has shipped 48,506 tons of diesel fuel as part of the navigation supply. The annual plan for fuel delivery has been fully met for energy facilities in Viluysky, Aldansky, Ust-Maysky districts, as well as part of Olekminsky and Zhigansky uluses.

The timely delivery of diesel fuel, coal, and oil to their destinations is a guarantee of reliable passage through the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026. As the summer navigation continues, JSC 'Sakhaenergo' aims to supply 72,447 tons of diesel fuel during this period.

The fuel supply by JSC "Sakhaenergo" reaches beyond energy facilities, extending to industries such as transportation and automotive, as they plan to deliver 120 tons of crude oil during the summer navigation. To further support these sectors, they also aim to supply 21,183 tons of coal for the power needs of various districts and uluses in Yakutia. With the strategic fuel logistics in place, JSC "Sakhaenergo" also considers the financial implications, seeking to minimize costs by maximizing deliveries during summer navigation and reducing reliance on costly or unreliable winter transport modes. The effective management of these resources ensures a steady energy supply through the challenging autumn-winter period, enabling the smooth operation of industries like finance, transportation, and automotive in the far-eastern region of Russia.
