Morgan Murphy Media Announces Key Leadership Promotions
Morgan Murphy Media, a family-owned multimedia company with operations across nine locations, has announced significant leadership promotions aimed at driving growth and innovation. The newly promoted executives are Chris Cornelius, Colin Benedict, and Neal Oberg, each assuming key roles in a strategic move to advance the company's growth and stay relevant in the evolving media landscape.
Chris Cornelius is now the Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joined Morgan Murphy Media in 2014 as VP of Business Development and will lead operational excellence with a focus on revenue growth and strengthening network and distribution relationships. Prior to joining Morgan Murphy Media, Cornelius served as President and COO of Barrington Broadcasting from 2003 to 2013.
Colin Benedict, a company veteran since 1998, has been promoted to Chief Innovation Officer. He has been the Vice President of News for the past seven years and will continue to oversee the news and marketing efforts of local stations. Benedict's new responsibility includes identifying, developing, and scaling innovative ideas across departments to ensure the company’s future relevance and growth. He has been with Morgan Murphy Media in news and management roles since 1988.
Neal Oberg continues his digital leadership as the Chief Digital Officer. He has been with Morgan Murphy Media since 1997 in various digital roles and most recently as VP of Digital. Oberg's focus will be on expanding audience engagement and digital revenue.
