Metallica's classic album "Master of Puppets" soars back onto music charts once more.

Metallica continues to dominate Billboard charts, often showing up in one or more listings every week. This time around, it's their classic album Master of Puppets that's gaining traction, with fans buying enough copies to secure its spot on multiple charts.

Master of Puppets made a triumphant return to the charts in the U.S. this week, appearing on three rankings currently. It returned to two of them while simultaneously climbing on the third.

Metallica's 1986 project managed a resurgence on the Top Album Sales chart, a non-genre-specific list that showcases what Americans are purchasing. Master of Puppets debuted on this chart at position 44, selling 7,400 copies, an increase of 45% compared to the previous period, as reported by Luminate.

The album maintains the same position on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, a tally that ranks the most popular releases in those genres, factoring in both sales and streaming activity. This alignment is quite unusual but not completely implausible.

Another surprising congruence is that Master of Puppets has reached the same position on both charts. Metallica brought the album to No. 7 on both rankings, despite their differing methodologies.

The title is performing exceptionally well on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, a result that's not unexpected, considering that most projects often rank highest on the most specific Billboard chart they qualify for. There's less competition among hard rock titles, and the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart also includes other popular sets in related styles.

On the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, Master of Puppets surged back into the top 10. After 102 weeks on this ranking, the powerful seller moved from position 19 to 10. Although it still has a few spots to climb before reaching its No. 2 peak, its return to this space is noteworthy, given its longevity and previous success.

Master of Puppets is one of three Metallica albums that made the Top Hard Rock Albums chart this week. Their self-titled blockbuster advanced one spot to No. 7, while Ride the Lightning reentered the list at No. 24, landing in second-to-last position on the chart.

Metallica's 1986 release 'Master of Puppets' also made a appearance on the Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, debuting at position 44 with an increase of 45% in sales compared to the previous period. This resurgence of 'Master of Puppets' on the charts is reminiscent of Metallica's 1984 album 'Ride the Lightning', which also made significant chart appearances. According to Forbes, Metallica's catalog of bestselling albums is a testament to their enduring popularity and influence in the music industry. 'Master of Puppets' has also seen impressive sales figures, making it one of Metallica's top-selling vinyl releases. The album's successful run on the charts is a reflection of its timeless appeal and the loyalty of its fanbase.
