Maharashtra's 'Dakshata Committee' Boosts Jeweller Safety, GJC Applauds
The All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) has applauded the Maharashtra Government's establishment of a state-level 'Dakshata Committee' for jeweller safety. The committee, chaired by Mr. Rajesh Rokde, aims to foster a secure bridge between the government and trade bodies, supporting honest business practices.
The Dakshata Committee comprises 12 members, each representing a different district in Maharashtra. It is set to expand with district-level committees in the future, covering all 36 districts. The GJC, led by Chairman Mr. Rokde and Vice Chairman Mr. Avinash Gupta, has hailed this initiative as a historic moment and a revolutionary step for the jewellery industry.
The committee's primary objective is to ensure the safety and security of jewellers across Maharashtra. It is a significant step towards strengthening the bond between the government and the jewellery trade. The GJC has expressed gratitude to Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Minister for Home Affairs Dilip Walse-Patil for their involvement in founding the committee.
The GJC has invited state heads across India to replicate such initiatives in their respective states, demonstrating the potential impact of the Dakshata Committee. By promoting secure business practices and fostering government-trade collaboration, the committee is poised to significantly enhance the jewellery industry's prospects in Maharashtra.
