Entrust Announces Tony Ball as Incoming CEO

Entrust, a global leader in digital identity and data security, has announced that Tony Ball will succeed Todd Wilkinson as the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 31, 2026. The announcement comes after Wilkinson's planned retirement following 17 years at the helm.

Tony Ball, currently the President of the Payments & Identities business at Entrust, has been a key member of the senior leadership team for nine years. He has played a significant role in driving the company's strategic growth, digital transformation, and expanding its identity and issuance capabilities. Ball's contributions include the integration of new capabilities in digital card issuance, identity orchestration, and verification.

Under Ball's leadership, Entrust has achieved impressive growth, expanding its footprint in the digital identity and data security markets. This growth has resulted in the company's annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.

Wilkinson, who joined Entrust in 2005 as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and was named CEO in 2008, thanked the Entrust team for their support and expressed confidence in the company's continued growth and success under Ball's leadership.

Bobby Mehta, Chair of the Entrust Board of Directors, expressed his honor to work with Tony and the senior leadership team. The Board is pleased with Ball stepping in to lead the organization, recognising his deep knowledge of the company's business and strategic vision.
