Latest developments at Fachpack 2025 event
Fachpack 2025, the renowned international trade fair for packaging and processing technology, is set to return to Messezentrum Nuremberg from 23rd to 25th September 2025. This year's event promises to be a vibrant showcase of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, attracting over 1,400 exhibitors from around the world.
The heart of Fachpack 2025 lies in the packaging segment, with approximately 60% of exhibitors specialising in this area. The remaining 40% cater to the packaging technology segment, offering cutting-edge solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the industry.
Sidel, a leading name in smart palletising and packing solutions, will be showcasing their offerings for the food, home, and personal care sectors at this year's event. Other notable exhibitors include Rixius, offering innovative packaging solutions in the glass and plastic sectors, and Amcor, showcasing their range of reusable cups, lightweighted food containers, and recyclable packaging materials.
Innovation and sustainability are at the forefront of Fachpack 2025. The "Converting meets Packaging" and "Alternative Packaging Solutions" pavilions will make their debut or return, showcasing the latest advancements in these areas. Koehler, for instance, will unveil its high-gloss, recyclable barrier paper with flex-crack resistance, NexPlus Seal Coat, at the fair.
Syntegon will showcase the Kliklok ACC, a servo-driven carton closer aimed at companies looking to modernize their secondary packaging processes sustainably. Meanwhile, Norden will present the high-speed NC100 cartoner at Coesia's stand.
The event will also feature forums across PACKBOX, INNOVATIONBOX, and SOLPACK 6.0, addressing issues such as sputtering consumption, increasing costs for raw materials, unfavourable competitive conditions, PPWR regulations, climate change, the circular economy, digitalisation and AI, or alternative packaging solutions and new or alternative fibre raw materials.
Fachpack 2025 will also provide a platform for newcomers and international newcomers to the industry through the "Newcomer Pavilion". The "Young Innovators" pavilion, subsidized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), will also be present, offering a glimpse into the future of packaging technology.
The German Packaging Awards will be announced on the first day of the fair, recognising outstanding achievements in the industry. The event will conclude with the Student Day on the third day, bringing together companies and young packaging talent.
Moreover, Klöckner Pentaplast will deliver expert-led presentations on navigating the Plastic and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) at Fachpack 2025, with sessions in both English and German. Mondi, another prominent exhibitor, will showcase its innovative and diverse packaging range, including high-barrier solutions for various industries.
Lastly, the networking event WOMEN4PACKAGING will offer female players from the sector a unique opportunity to network and discuss the latest topics and trends on the first day of the fair. The event will span 11 exhibition halls and cover a wide range of topics, making it a must-attend event for anyone interested in the packaging and processing technology industry.
