Construction company SDS-LLC from the Kemerovo Region has initiated a lawsuit worth 1.5 billion rubles against marine port operator Marine Port Suhodol LLC, based in the Shkotovsky District, Primorsky Krai. The court hearing is set for July 16, according to PrimaMedia's reports.

Large port in Primorye faces a lawsuit for a significant claim of 1.5 billion rubles

In a significant development, JSC "SDS-Construction," a construction company based in the Kemerovo Region, has filed a lawsuit against LLC "Morskoy Port Sukhodol," the operator of the Sukhodol Port in the Eastern town of Shkotovsky District, Primorsky Krai. The lawsuit, valued at approximately 1.5 billion rubles, will be presented before the Moscow Arbitration Court on July 16, as reported by PrimaMedia.

The construction company is associated with Svetlana Rybalkenko, the sister of Mikhail Fedyaev, the founder of the Siberian Business Union (SBU). Fedyaev was instrumental in initiating AO Holding Company "SDS-Ugol's" construction of the coal terminal in Sukhodol Bay's northern region. Although the port project, managed by LLC "Morskoy Port Sukhodol," has been underway since 2012, it has faced significant delays.

Data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities reveals that the owners of LLC "Morskoy Port Sukhodol" include AO "Mezhdurechye" (Kemerovo Region) with 25.01%, AO "Center for Port Infrastructure Development" (CRPID) with 24.79%, while Mikhail Fedyaev and Andrei Gridin each hold a 25.1% stake.

In a separate development, it has been speculated that former Primorye Vice-Governor Viktor Myasnik may soon be made a suspect in a large-scale fraud case.

In September 2024, President Vladimir Putin inaugurated the operation of the coal terminal at Sukhodol Port, which boasts a projected annual capacity of 12 million tons, with room for future expansion to 20 million tons. Commencing operations in early October 2024, the port initially began transshipping 500 imported Chinese vehicles, mainly Haval and Changan brands. Berth No. 3 of the port is designated for the handling of general cargo, vehicles, heavy equipment, and containers.

The long-term vision for Sukhodol Port is to develop it into a versatile cargo hub for containers, grain, and other general cargo. Plans also include facilities for liquefied gas, methanol, mineral fertilizers, and a fish cluster.
