KTMB Adds Two Electric Train Services for Deepavali

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced two additional electric train services between Padang Besar and Kuala Lumpur Sentral for Deepavali. The services will run from October 17 to 22, catering to increased demand during the festive season and easing road traffic congestion.

The extra services will depart from Padang Besar at 11.05 am, arriving in Kuala Lumpur Sentral at 4.30 pm. The return journey will leave KL Sentral at 5.00 pm, reaching Padang Besar by 10.20 pm. Passengers can book these services via the KTMB Mobile app (KITS) or the KTMB website, using KTM Wallet for payments. KTMB advises early planning and ticket purchase for cheaper, flexible fares and to avoid last-minute crowds. Each day, 630 vivid seats will be available, including business class, totaling 3,780 seats over the six days. Travellers should arrive at the station 30 minutes before departure, with gates closing five minutes before the train's scheduled departure.

KTMB's additional services aim to provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for Deepavali celebrations. By offering more vivid seats and running from October 17 to 22, KTMB caters to increased passenger numbers and reduces road congestion during the festive period.
