KI collaborates with Heimat, Allgäu GmbH secures €300,000 in financial backing
In a significant move, Allgaü GmbH, a renowned company based in Kaufbeuren, has received a funding decision of over 300,000 euros. The announcement was made on the occasion of the "Day of Bavarian Regions" in Nuremberg, where a total of around 2 million euros in funding for nine digital home projects was distributed.
The funding for Allgaü GmbH will be used for the project "The Allgaü Brand - Digital Implementation of the Brand and Destination Strategy". This project aims to digitalise the company's brand strategy, including the development of an AI strategy to secure the digital future of the Allgaü brand and build AI competencies in a broad network of regional partners.
The AI strategy involves several key components. First, the business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) are defined to evaluate the success of AI initiatives. Then, the current state is assessed, considering the technology audit and data quality. Next, suitable AI technologies, such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision, are chosen based on the project's requirements.
Partnerships with technology providers, consulting firms, and research institutions are established to access cutting-edge solutions, guide strategy development, and explore new AI applications. Training programs and recruitment are also initiated to develop talent within the company.
To ensure ethical use of AI, clear guidelines are established, focusing on privacy, fairness, and transparency. Compliance with relevant AI regulations, such as GDPR, is also ensured. Finally, continuous evaluation and adjustment of strategies are carried out to maintain the effectiveness of AI initiatives.
In addition to Allgaü GmbH, another project funded by Regierungsbezirk Schwaben is Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH. This project will bring seven significant building complexes in Augsburg to life digitally with thematic city tours using an innovative app, "Augsburg Discover - Time Travel to a European Trading and Cultural Metropolis". This project, however, does not involve artificial intelligence or the digital implementation of a brand strategy.
A separate project, titled "Trace of the Houses", will use an app to make former houses and places, their artistic crafts, and cultural forms visible and experiential with maps, pictures, and eyewitness reports. This project does not form part of the Allgaü Brand - Digital Implementation of the Brand and Destination Strategy project and does not include the development of a children's podcast or an AI strategy.
The Public Art Lab e.V. in Adelegg, Landkreis Oberallgaü and Kempten will receive funding for this project, but it is not directly related to Allgaü GmbH. The Public Art Association also received funding for its digital trace preservation in Adelegg, but this fact is not directly connected to Allgaü GmbH's AI strategy.
With this funding, Allgaü GmbH is set to enhance its competitive edge in the market by effectively integrating AI into its operations.
- The funding for Allgaü GmbH will be allocated towards the development of an AI strategy, aiming to secure the digital future of the Allgaü brand and establish AI competencies within a network of regional partners, thus combining finance, technology, and artificial-intelligence.
- As part of their AI strategy, Allgaü GmbH will define business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), assess the current technology and data quality, choose suitable AI technologies, and establish partnerships with technology providers, consulting firms, and research institutions, thereby merging finance, technology, and artificial-intelligence.
