Heavy Vehicle Inspections Yield Results in Großrosseln and Dillingen

On May 15, 2025, a joint operation was carried out by traffic police and several collaborating agencies, including the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM), the State Office for Environmental and Occupational Safety, and the French Gendarmerie Nationale, to conduct heavy vehicle inspections in the locations of Großrosseln and Dillingen.

A total of 37 heavy vehicles were inspected, with 11 of them being waste transports. The inspections, which took place between 09:00 and 13:30, resulted in several significant findings.

Violations of waste and hazardous goods regulations, trade regulations, and social regulations in road traffic were detected during the inspections. Inadequate cargo securing and significant technical defects were found in several vehicles.

One French small truck was taken out of service due to significant safety-related defects. The use of expanding foam as a repair method on load-bearing parts was deemed unsafe by the enforcement officers.

Three vehicle drivers were temporarily prohibited from continuing their journeys due to vehicle defects. The inspections also led to several criminal proceedings for illegal handling of waste.

All violations were penalized with administrative offense reports. However, the search results do not provide information about which organization identified the person responsible for the unsafe repair of a French truck on May 15, 2025, in Großrosseln/Dillingen.

The inspections were part of stationary and mobile heavy vehicle inspections, aimed at ensuring the safety and compliance of heavy vehicles on the roads. The findings underscore the importance of these inspections in maintaining road safety and preventing illegal activities.
