Lynk & Co Zero: A Performance-Oriented Plug-In Hybrid Sedan
Investigation
Lynk & Co, a brand jointly developed by Geely and Volvo, has announced the release of its first all-electric sedan, the Lynk & Co Zero (also known as the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P). This high-performance plug-in hybrid vehicle is set to hit the Chinese market in August 2025, priced around $26,720 USD.
The Lynk & Co Zero boasts a powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (120 kW/161 hp) paired with a three-speed DHT Evo transmission and two electric motors (combined 180 kW/241 hp). A 90 kW (121 hp) e-motor on the rear axle enables all-wheel drive, providing up to 390 kW (523 hp) and 755 Nm torque.
This electric sedan offers two battery options: an LFP 18.4 kWh battery providing about 100 km electric range (WLTC), and a larger 38.2 kWh battery offering up to 192 km BEV range (WLTC). Fast charging from 10% to 60% takes approximately 13 minutes. The vehicle's fuel efficiency is 4.2 liters/100 km when the battery is drained, with a 60-liter fuel tank allowing approximately 1,400 km total range. The Lynk & Co Zero accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds (with the smaller battery) or 5.1 seconds (with the larger battery), and has a top speed of 210 km/h.
The Lynk & Co Zero features four drive modes - PHEV, BEV, Performance, and Snow - and an advanced AWD system where the rear axle motor activates within 10 milliseconds after front wheel slip for optimal traction.
While the Xiaomi SU7, an electric SUV with premium features, will likely compete fiercely with the Lynk & Co Zero, detailed powertrain specs and release details for the Xiaomi SU7 are not currently available. A comparison between the two vehicles is provided in the table below:

Lynk & Co has been primarily known for its SUV models, with only one sedan, the 03, until the introduction of the 07 EM-P. The Lynk & Co Zero is the third sedan in the brand's lineup, following the 03 and 07 EM-P. The brand will also release a second all-electric vehicle, possibly an SUV, later this year.
The Lynk & Co Zero incorporates advanced technologies such as rear-wheel steering, CDC electromagnetic suspension, dual-chamber air suspension, AI digital chassis, and 800V technology. Prices for the Lynk & Co Zero are expected to range between 200,000 and 300,000 yuan (27,800 to 41,700 USD). The vehicle adopts many aesthetic elements from the New Day concept and follows on from the 07 EM-P and 08 EM-P models.
The Lynk & Co Zero will unveil in Gothenburg, Sweden next month and launch around the middle of the year. With its powerful performance, fast charging, and flexible drive modes, the Lynk & Co Zero is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
- The Lynk & Co Zero's release will introduce technology from the automotive industry, such as rear-wheel steering, CDC electromagnetic suspension, and 800V technology, into the lifestyle of car owners.
