International company, Insignia, appoints a new CEO to boost its expansion and growth.

Insignia International, a Denver-based food company, has appointed Jason Parasco as its new CEO. Parasco, who joined the company as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in early 2024, brings a wealth of experience from the consumer packaged goods sector.

Parasco's tenure at Insignia has been marked by significant retail wins, including expanding the craft salsa line into 1,400 Walmart stores and securing placement for Hatch Magic Chips at 2,000 Kroger locations.

Under Parasco's guidance, Insignia International is now focusing on strategic acquisitions, flavour-first innovation, and expanding its position in the premium Hispanic food market. This shift comes as the demand for bold, authentic Hispanic and Southwestern flavors continues to rise.

Parasco emphasizes growth through focus, consistency, and innovation, targeting modern shoppers aged 25 to 50 who seek clean label and premium products. Insignia's core brands, including 505 Southwestern, Lilly B's, Yucatan Guacamole, and La Tortilla Factory, are positioning themselves to capitalize on shifting consumer preferences.

Insignia is also investing heavily in innovation for clean-label, premium Hispanic foods. The company is preparing for peak Hatch green chile season, during which it processes a significant portion of the total volume from New Mexico's Hatch Valley.

In addition to its branded business, Insignia partners with retailers and food companies through its private label, brokerage, and logistics solutions. The company maintains operations and offices in Denver, New Mexico, California, Idaho, Minnesota, Kansas, and Mexico.

Parasco's leadership style, described as a "Street Fighter mentality" marked by rapid decision-making and strategic agility, is expected to drive Insignia's growth trajectory. He succeeds Adam Butler, who led Insignia's rebranding from Flagship Food Group in 2024.

Insignia International's growth strategy under Parasco's leadership is defined by targeted acquisition plans, innovation focused on authentic flavors, and a focus on U.S. consumers aged 25 to 50, the demographic driving mainstream adoption of Hispanic cuisine. The company is actively pursuing strategic acquisitions in the premium Hispanic segment to broaden its product portfolio.

Meanwhile, Insignia's premier brand, 505 Southwestern, is expanding from its regional stronghold to pursue national distribution. The company's recent achievements and initiatives under Parasco include positioning its brands to capitalize on the surge in popularity of Hispanic flavors, which have recently surpassed Italian cuisine in popularity.

Parasco, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and former U.S. naval officer, has a proven track record in the consumer packaged goods space. He helped scale Sovos Brands from under $100 million to over $1 billion in revenue.
