The 29th edition of the CII Partnership Summit, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, took place on 2 and 3 December 2024 in New Delhi. With the theme of 'Partnerships for Progress', the event brought together over 700 delegates from India and 61 countries worldwide.

He emphasised the need to develop and increase manufacturing capacity in India and stressed the need for India to forge more reliable and trusted partnerships with nations, particularly its neighbours. Dr. Jaishankar also spoke about increasing geopolitical and geoeconomic turbulence and insecurity.

Mr. Amitabh Kant, India's G20 Sherpa, addressed a session on Development Through South-South Collaboration. He discussed redesigning and restructuring international financial institutions and debt structures. Mr. Kant shared that countries from the Global South will serve as a growth engine over the next three decades.

Mr. Piyush Goyal also alluded to two acronyms, SATELLITE and SPACE, while describing India's vision of global partnerships, which encompass areas including Supply Chains, Sustainability, and Synergy between countries.

Leaders from India's business and regulatory landscape, such as NITI Aayog, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and the World Bank, also participated in the CII Partnership Summit. The event included 11 technical sessions and 7 sectoral tracks and facilitated over 500 B2B and B2G meetings.

The Summit featured 30 Global Speakers and was addressed by 11 Overseas Ministers from various countries including Algeria, Bahrain, Bhutan, Cambodia, Israel, Italy, Myanmar, Nepal, Qatar, Senegal, and South Africa. Discussions ranged from Collaborative Climate Solutions to Creating Resilient Global Value Chains and Harmonising Global and National ESG Frameworks.
