Igor Galasy Appointed First Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Region

Igor Galasy, a seasoned economist and administrator, has been serving as the first vice-governor of the Krasnodar region since October 2021. His appointment comes after a decade of overseeing the financial-economic block and a career marked by significant achievements.

Galasy's rise to the top position in the region's administration is a testament to his expertise and dedication. Born in Starominsky stanitsa on April 1, 1976, he graduated from the Rostov State Economic Academy with a degree in 'Finance and Credit'. His career took off in 2012 when he was appointed as the minister of economy, a position he held until 2015.

His leadership during this period was commended, leading to his appointment as deputy head of Kuban in the same year. Galasy's efforts did not go unnoticed by the federal government, earning him a letter of gratitude. In 2014, he was further honoured with the title of 'Honored Economist of Kuban'.

Galasy's proficiency in crisis management was evident in his leadership of the operational headquarters during the liquidation of oil spills in the Kerch Strait, Anapa, and the Temryuk district. His ability to navigate complex situations has been a key factor in his rise through the ranks.

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev has expressed confidence in Galasy's renewed role as the first vice-governor, planning to leverage his expertise to drive economic growth and infrastructure improvements in the Krasnodar region. With over a decade of experience in financial-economic management and a proven track record in crisis leadership, Galasy is well-positioned to contribute to the region's development.
