Hürth Expands City Heating Network: Am Druvendriesch Construction Starts Soon

Hürth is set to expand its city heating network, with construction work commencing on Am Druvendriesch. The project aims to connect more households to the environmentally friendly district heating network, ensuring a future-proof energy supply.

Starting on weekdays, the construction will last eight hours each day, affecting the street section from the access road Gennerstraße to house number 8a. During this time, the Rebenfeld street can only be reached via the Platzstraße. A detour for through traffic will be in place, while local traffic up to the construction site remains possible. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site without any restrictions. The entire section will be closed to through traffic during the construction period.

In a separate development, a new construction phase for the expansion of the district heating network in Hürth is scheduled for Fischenich from July 21 to August 12, 2025.
